Charity begins at home

SOLD
acrylic on perspex
100 x 125cm (incl gold frame)

This painting was part of the Chase Charity Exhibition which was held at the Royal College of Art in November 2011.

Artist comment:
This painting is not pointing a finger, but stating the reality that we all live in. Every day we make decisions about how we spend the money we earn or the free time we acquire. If we were saints we would be penniless and in the permanent service of others. Obviously, most of us are not, me included.

I guess it is our conscience that directs both our philanthropic and self serving tendencies. Hopefully over our lifetime it nudges us towards a more saintly state.

Charity exhibitions are a good place to start.
